Mental illness is an issue that isn't explored a lot in YA fiction and I really wanted to like this book. I liked the conversations Jason had with the voices in his head and found myself snickering But the book fell flat for me and I found myself saying ...'no way could this really happen." If you want to read a book about a teen dealing with mental illness Holly Schindler's novel A Blue So Dark is a better choice.
